The server-based synchronization, deployment, and management solution for the enterprise

Enterprise Intellisync Server

Product Overview

Enterprise Intellisync® Server software from Pumatech provides organizations with a single resource for synchronizing PIM (personal information management) and custom database information between servers and mobile devices, wirelessly or through desktop PC synchronization cradles – and for managing handheld software and devices from one centralized location. This powerful new solution dramatically lowers total cost of ownership (TCO) for handhelds by giving IT personnel the ability to deploy centralized synchronization solutions and to manage and track mobile devices as corporate assets, with administrative features that integrate with existing enterprise infrastructure.

Enterprise Intellisync Server includes Pumatech's award-winning Intellisync® engine for LAN-based and remote synchronization of email, calendar, contacts, and tasks between Palm OS® and Pocket PC handhelds and such PC-based applications as Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Notes. Enterprise Intellisync Server also facilitates local and remote synchronization between custom handheld applications created with Pumatech's Satellite Forms® MobileApp Designer software (sold separately) and back-end databases, including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and other ODBC-compliant data sources.

A built-in, centralized Administrator's Console greatly simplifies the task of deploying, managing, and upgrading Enterprise Intellisync Server software components throughout your entire organization, while also addressing the issue of handheld management. Enterprise Intellisync Server makes it easy to pre-configure settings and access privileges, deploy custom mobile application upgrades, back up and restore applications, troubleshoot user problems, and inventory device assets.

Enterprise Intellisync Server is ideal for organizations that are looking to extend the sync capabilities of Intellisync or Enterprise Intellisync beyond desktop, cradle-based connectivity. It's also designed for Satellite Forms customers who would like to integrate their mobile applications with server-based ODBC-compliant data sources, via LAN-based and remote connectivity.
