SAN JOSE, Calif. (1/14/02) - Pumatech Inc. (Nasdaq: PUMA), a leading provider of enterprise-level software products and services that deliver highly relevant information wherever and whenever it's needed, will hold its third Developers' Conference on Monday, February 4, 2002, at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, California. The conference will provide independent application developers, software vendors (ISVs), device manufacturers, systems integrators (SIs) and other technology professionals with informative sessions that highlight Pumatech's Satellite Forms , Intellisync SDK and Mind-it software, which are helping to bring the concept of the "Real-time Enterprise" closer to reality.
The 2002 Pumatech Developers' Conference will give attendees the opportunity to hear from a variety of experts, including developers, industry analysts and Pumatech executives, regarding emerging technologies in the mobile and PC markets, and how Pumatech's products provide the ultimate tools for connecting employees to mission-critical enterprise information, precisely when and where they need it.
The Conference will begin with a keynote address by industry analyst Tim Bajarin, describing the concept of the "Real-time Enterprise" and the technologies required to make it a reality. This session will be followed by a presentation detailing how Pumatech's solutions specifically contribute to enabling the Real-time Enterprise. Also scheduled is a comprehensive session that will describe today's key industry standards and emerging technologies - SyncML, Bluetooth, WAP, and more - and whether they make sense for your business.
The 2002 Pumatech Developers' Conference will also feature in-depth sessions describing the benefits of Satellite Forms, the premier RAD tool for creating custom Palm OS applications that integrate with corporate back-end data; the Intellisync SDK, a powerful tool that enables organizations to quickly build on the industry-standard Intellisync synchronization software platform, while taking advantage of Pumatech's patented Data Synchronization Extensions Technology (DSX Technology® engine) to support multiple handheld devices and applications; and Mind-it, which delivers real-time notifications to individuals or groups of users - anytime, anywhere - when changes occur to specific corporate or Web-based information.
In addition, a hands-on developers' lab will allow attendees to experience how these solutions deliver current, relevant information that allows organizations to make informed, timely decisions based on the latest events of the business.
"This year's conference will provide an environment where ISVs, device vendors, application developers and other technology professionals can exchange information on vital product and service solutions that are helping to bring the concept of the 'Real-time Enterprise' to life, while increasing their knowledge of Pumatech's Satellite Forms, Intellisync SDK, and Mind-it products," said Richard Walker, vice president of marketing and online services at Pumatech.
