Praisner To Bring Keen Wall Street Insight To Pumatech
SAN JOSE, Calif. (4/9/01) - Pumatech, Inc. (NASDAQ: PUMA), the leading provider of software infrastructure for the mobile Internet, today announced the appointment of Michael Praisner to its Board of Directors. Praisner brings more than 25 years of high-tech financial and management experience to Pumatech, and in the 1990s helped take three Silicon Valley startups public as those companies' CFO.
"Pumatech's solid business model and strong relationships with both Wall Street and its numerous partners have contributed to the company's success thus far, and I am looking to help continue that trend as a Board member," said Praisner. "I am excited about working with Pumatech's experienced management team, and relish the opportunity to play a significant role in expanding upon relationships that will further the Company's strategic approach in working with its partners and Wall Street."
Praisner has held senior financial and general management positions with several high-profile Silicon Valley companies, including Hewlett-Packard, Apple Computer, and Applied Materials. Praisner's extensive financial background also includes a stint as a CPA at Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers). Prior to earning his MBA at Southern Methodist University, he served as a captain in the United States Air Force.
