Magically teams with Pumatech to offer synchronization for online group scheduling

Licensing Agreement Will Allow Users To Synchronize Data Between MagicalDesk Applications and Popular Personal and SalesForce Information Management Systems

Redwood City, CA - June 19, 2001 - Magically, Inc. and Pumatech, Inc. (Nasdaq: PUMA), a leading provider of enterprise-level software products and services that deliver highly relevant information - wherever and whenever it's needed, have announced a licensing agreement that will offer the Intellisync synchronization platform for MagicalDesk components through the Intellisync Software Development Kit (Intellisync SDK). Magically will incorporate the Intellisync engine into its Web-based information management applications, allowing users to synchronize enterprise-based calendars and contact information between MagicalDesk and their desktop and handheld Personal Information Management systems (PIMs).

"The addition of synchronization capabilities from Pumatech reinforces our goal of creating a platform-independent, device-agnostic scheduling solution that complements the natural way people manage their time," said Erwin Huang, Founder and President of Magically, Inc. "Continuity across an extended enterprise is becoming increasingly challenging, and this feature will help to ensure our clients and their customers have the most current information available to them, regardless of where they may be."

Magically is a full-featured, Web-based information management and collaboration application provider, and will integrate this new synchronization feature with its upcoming release of MagicalDesk version 3.0 technology. Time-saving benefits of synchronization include the ability to move scheduled or rescheduled events directly into the user's calendar, the ability to upload current calendar information into MagicalDesk to identify potential schedule conflicts and the ability to maintain a single address book.

"Magically's Web-based information management application coupled with our Intellisync engine is a powerful combination for sales forces seeking to keep their personal information and handheld devices constantly synchronized," said Pumatech CEO, President, and Co-founder Brad Rowe. "By licensing our Intellisync software, Magically will make its online group scheduling and calendar even more functional for everyone using desktop and handheld PIMs."

The first wave of synchronization will support Microsoft Outlook 97/98, and 2000, Lotus Organizer 4.1+, ACT!, GoldMine 4.0, and Palm OS platform products (Palm sync). Magically plans to introduce support for additional PIMs and devices in future releases.
