Server Certification Paves The Way For Future Pumatech SyncML Offerings In The Enterprise
SAN JOSE, Calif. (7/23/01) - Pumatech, Inc. (NASDAQ: PUMA), a leading provider of enterprise-level software products and services that deliver highly relevant information wherever and whenever it's needed, today announced the successful demonstration of a SyncML-compliant server. Pumatech's server compliance was officially confirmed by the SyncML Interoperability Committee (SIC) following testing at the 2001 SyncFest in Tampere, Finland, June 27-29, 2001. This certification further illustrates Pumatech's position as a leader in intelligent synchronization and strengthens the company's position in the enterprise market.
SyncML is an open industry specification for universal synchronization of remote data and personal information across multiple networks, platforms and devices. The SyncML initiative is sponsored by companies such as Ericsson, IBM, Lotus, Matsushita, Motorola, Nokia and Symbian, and supported by more than 650 additional organizations, including Pumatech.
