NEC's New BIGLOBE Binder Web Service To Incorporate Pumatech's Mind-it® Server Software

TOKYO, Japan (7/24/01) - Pumatech Japan K.K., a global subsidiary of Pumatech, Inc. (NASDAQ: PUMA), announced today that its Mind-it Server software has been selected for use in BIGLOBE Binder, a new service offered by BIGLOBE, the Internet service provider (ISP) operated by NEC. The incorporation of Pumatech's Mind-it Server into BIGLOBE Binder will enable the service's users to monitor bookmarked Web pages and automatically receive notice of updates to those pages via e-mail or mobile phone.

BIGLOBE is one of the largest ISPs in Japan, widely acclaimed for the richness of content and user-friendliness of its portal site. The company, which offers a range of services including helpful links, online shopping and communities, currently has over 8 million subscribers. BIGLOBE Binder, the new service announced today by NEC, will allow users to manage their bookmarks (favorite sites) online.
